MOONSHOT Technologies LLC (hereafter known as "Company") takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy concerning Homeschool Teacher and Homeschool Student apps (hereafter referred to as "app" or "app(s)").
The Company may collect personal information when you register for one or more of its products or services. Registering an account is required to use the Homeschool Teacher app in order for the app to function. The Homeschool Student app does not prompt students to register their own accounts, rather the accounts are created for the students within the Homeschool Teacher app.
The app(s) may collect or transmit information about your device in order to provide you with the most optimized customer experience. The camera feature of your device may be used to take photos of you or your students, but these images are only stored on the device on which the picture was taken and are not shared unless you elect to share them from the photo library of your device. The app(s) do not use contact lists of your device. Names and grade levels of students are collected as part of the core functionality of the app(s). Address information may be entered on the app(s), but it is optional.
MOONSHOT Technologies LLC uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal use.
The app(s) may use small files and local storage to track status, progress and other app related information to improve your app experience.
The app(s) do make available a school synchronization key whose purpose is to synchronize the data on different app installations across multiple devices. It is the responsibility of the app(s) users to keep this key confidential. In the event that the key is compromised, the key should be immediately changed via the Homeschool Teacher app and any installations of the Homeschool Student app should be re-synchronized to the new key. The synchronization key is only visible from the Homeschool Teacher app.
The Company reserves the right to use and disclose the collected, non-personal data for purposes of advertising by the Company or the Company’s partners and contractors.
The Company may employ third party ad serving technologies that use certain methods to collect information as a result of ad serving through Services.
The Company or third parties operating the ad serving technology may use demographic and geo-location information as well as information logged from your hardware or device to ensure that relevant advertising is presented within the Service. The Company or third parties may collect and use data, for such purposes, including but not limited to, data such as IP address, Device ID, MAC address, installed software, application usage data, hardware type, Operating System information, browser information, unique identifiers in browser cookies, Flash cookies, and HTML5 local storage, Internet and on-line usage information and in-game information.
The foregoing data may be used and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of the company providing the ad serving technology.
The Company may display to you behaviorally targeted advertising. If you want to be certain that no behaviorally targeted advertisements are displayed to you, please do not use the app.
Some services may include the use of in-game advertisements or brand placement. Such ads or sponsorships will be noted as such within the services.
While the app(s) currently do not implement any type of advertising, the Company reserves the right to implement this feature in the future should it choose to do so.
Information collected about children is only the minimum amount necessary for the app(s) to function as expected. This includes the children's names and grade level. Pictures may be used, but only at the discretion of the app(s) users. No information regarding birthdate, social security number or other personal identifiable information is requested.
Please note that the Company’s partners may have their own policies related to tracking technologies for analytics and ad-serving purposes. While the Company requires that companies comply with the Company’s privacy policy, the Company does not actually control third-party data collection and use. The Company encourages parents to review the app prior to a child's use and determine for themselves the appropriateness of the app(s).
MOONSHOT Technologies LLC does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
The Company limits access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
MOONSHOT Technologies LLC may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by issuing an update to the app and referencing the policy update in the upgrade notes.
